Why I make art

The majority of my childhood was spent ether in the woods, drawing, or having tarot readings with my grandmother. All I wanted to do was create beautiful things with my own two hands and escape everyday life. I went through some hard times as a child, which took a toll on my mental health, but I am working through it, and have found that being creative helps.

My art is inspired by nature, memory, and the mystical. I find comfort in old things and believe that energy surrounds us and is part of us and that our loved ones who pass, never truly leave us. They become our spirit guides through the roller coaster of life.

Life isn't always easy, but it is beautiful, and through my art, I work to convey the balance in life. Life and death, black and white, and that there is no light without the darkness.
